I had the pleasure of meeting Pam Rettig at a recent vendor fair. Her cookies are immensely popular, especially with health-conscious and fitness customers. She just started her business, but from everything that I could see, she is sure to find great success.

Can you briefly describe what your business does?

We are baking cookies and serving others with ♥️ featuring healthy choices, Power Clean Protein Cookies and a Sweet & Savory Cookie Collection.

Where did the idea come from?

It was the joy of creating cookie recipes that are healthy, packed with protein, and 100 grams of flavor for anyone in the community to enjoy. My long-term goal is to have a bakery cafe offering small breakfasts, delicious cookies, and specialty coffees where families and friends can enjoy and socialize. My experience has been in the food service setting for over 20 years and the joy of interacting with and providing hospitality to guests is a Blessing!!

Can you describe your typical work day?

I am a Cottage Food Home baker in the process of developing the business into a quaint cozy bakery cafe!! Currently, I am participating in community events and pop-up markets, working together as a team of two to move the business forward.

What is your best-selling product?

Our best seller is our Power Clean Protein Cookies which are great for a quick Breakfast, lunchbox snack, afternoon treat, or a pre-workout/post-workout energy boost. Cookies are packed with quality ingredients filled with great taste and texture. Our Butterscotch Dream, Kettle Pop, and Sweet Cherry Pecan from our Specialty Gourmet Collection are our best sellers if you are looking for a cookie that is Sweet and savory packed with texture and delightful ingredients.

What do you feel sets your business apart?

I think it’s the many comments that we have received. They say that there is not a product out there that compares. It is the quality of ingredients that gives our cookies the chewy texture and flavor everyone enjoys. Our guests can look forward to Healthy options with our Power Clean Protein Cookies providing 12 grams of high-performance egg white/whey protein. A great small business with hospitality and the ♥️ for baking in providing lovely tastes to the community

How is social media important to your business?

I primarily use Instagram and Facebook. In producing g content, I personally take the pictures at home while baking and while at our events with the help of a few friends

What are your thoughts on working with computers?

We are in the beginning steps of creating the business platform. We have only participated in one event, so this is still new to us.

How do you balance work and personal time?

This has always been an area that I needed to work on. I love to work to keep busy in the community and in meeting new people.

What are your thoughts regarding the environment, social issues, and being a partner to the community?

I say: follow your dreams and never give up!! Stay focused and optimistic!!

What is your outlook for the future?

In five to ten years, I hope to have that dream bakery cafe and a partner in charge of running the business
